STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS
APPLICATION DEADLINE: SEP 12, 2014
Limited funds are available to support undergraduate and graduate student travel to the conference.
To be eligible for financial assistance for your travel, you must first ask your department/advisor for travel funding. Travel grants are available to participants whose department is unable to provide full travel support.
To apply for travel assistance, send an email to Cody Messick (email@example.com) by September 12 with the subject line “MAS APS: Student travel support” and the following information:
- Method of travel (we encourage carpooling)
- Estimated cost to travel to the conference
- Number of nights in hotel
- Will you share a hotel room?
- Have you requested support from your department/advisor?
- Amount your department/advisor will contribute.
Save all travel receipts and bring them with you to the conference. You will need to provide original receipts to receive travel reimbursement. If you use a personal car, please submit a Google map showing the miles travelled. Please coordinate travel amongst other attendees from your institution. If you are flying, you must obtain pre-approval prior to booking your ticket. You will be contacted with instructions for airplane ticket purchase.
If you would like assistance with finding a roommate for the conference, we will try to help you find one. Please email Cody Messick (firstname.lastname@example.org).
