I have been so excited to start working on my first year experience video. As soon as I saw it on the syllabus, I couldn’t wait to start planning out, creating, and editing my video. Making videos has always been so interesting and fun to me, so this assignment isn’t really like an assignment for me. This was a HUGE first experience for me due to the fact that i have NEVER been excited to complete school assignment.

Although it is a huge hike to the tech center to rent out equipment, it was well worth the journey. I couldn’t wait to get back to my room and play around with the video camera. I was just sitting in my room zooming in and out on random objects having the time of my life. I followed my friends around to dinner and filmed a bunch of stupid stuff on the way just to play around with it. I literally want to bring the camera everywhere I go because there’s so much I want to film and put in my video. I’m definitely going to have some trouble figuring out what to put in and take out of it, but I’m still super excited. Tomorrow after my CAS exam, I’m going to be on cloud nine running all over campus taking pictures and videos of all the great places, activities, experiences, and people. Filming and editing videos is something I have always loved to do, I get giddy just thinking about it. Now I’m realizing how much of a nerd I have just made myself out to be, but oh well. A girl can get excited for project in school and still be cool!

The past five weeks here have been amazing and I’m so thankful to be a Penn State student, which is another reason why I’m so pumped up about this video. It will be challenging to squeeze all of the wonderful experiences I have had here in just a two minute video, but I’ll find a way.
