Microsoft Access – Foundations

Course Description

Microsoft Access provides users with powerful tools for organizing, relating, and recalling data.

In this hands-on course, basic features of Microsoft Access will be explored. Participants will begin with a tour of the program’s interface and end with the ability to use sorting and filtering to locate information.

This training is held in two 3-hour sessions.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Define basic database components
  • Enter, edit, and delete data on a table
  • Alter the design and structure of a table
  • Sort and filter tables

Microsoft Access – Queries & Joins

Course Description

Get the most use out of Microsoft Access by learning about queries and joins.

Participants in this hands-on course will take an in-depth look at queries of all types. They will also examine how joins easily link data in different places.

This training is held in one 1.5-hour session.

Prerequisite: Basic understanding of Microsoft Access OR attendance at Microsoft Access Foundations.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe  and deploy three types of queries
  • Explain the difference between inner joins and outer joins

Microsoft Access – Reports & Forms

Course Description

Participants in this hands-on course will take an in-depth look at reports and forms. They will also practice creating and modifying reports and forms.
