Course Description

You use Microsoft Word all the time. Are you using it to its potential?
This course introduces Microsoft Word users to the powerhouse features in Word 2013/2016. If you can change the font in a document, but want to know more about how to make Word work for you, then this is your course.
Learn about “hidden” features and how to set up Word so that it appears how you like it best.Information on new features in the 2013 version will also be presented.

This training is held in two 3-hour sessions.

Microsoft Word – Mail Merge

Course Description

Add a personal touch to your email and postal mail correspondence through the Mail Merge feature.
This function of Word is used to send a document to many people, personalizing it for each one.

This training is held in one 1.5-hour session.

  • Prepare a document to send via email
  • Personalize a letter with the use of mail merge fields
  • Connect a message to an address list
  • Perform a mail merge from start to finish

Microsoft Word – Editing & Sharing

Course Description

Documents need to be edited before they are put to use, and Microsoft Word gives you many tools with which to do this.

The course will explore Spell Check (including how to personalize it), Comments, Track Changes, and more. Participants will also learn about sharing their documents with other users and in presentation mode.

This training is held in one 1.5-hour session.

  • Use Spell Check to ensure proper spelling, including a Custom Dictionary
  • Apply a grammar check or special rules to your documents
  • Employ the Comments and Track Changes options

Smart Art, Tables, Charts, and Graphics

Course Description

Enhance Word documents with the use of Smart Art, tables, charts, and graphics.

This course will showcase the options available through Microsoft Word and other programs in the Microsoft Office suite. Participants will explore how to place graphics (photos, screen shots, and more)  in a document. Information on Smart Art, tables, and charts will also be presented. Participants will learn how to control these elements to achieve an aesthetically pleasing finished product.

This training is held in one 1.5-hour session.

Stylize Your Documents

Course Description

Make your document look it’s best! Utilize styles and templates within Microsoft Word to not only make attractive documents, but also streamline your workflow.

This training is held in one 1.5-hour session.
