To attend the conference, students must both apply and be accepted in order to register. Prospective undergraduate students may complete an application at the link below before midnight on November 1, 2013. Applicants will be informed of their acceptance by the end of November. Due to limited space, we are unfortunately unable to accept all applicants. Once accepted, students must complete a registration form. Registration includes a $25 nonrefundable registration fee. To attend the conference, applicants must complete registration and pay the fee before December 6, 2013.
The registration fee of $25 covers a small fraction of the costs of conference, including food and lodging. Students unable to pay this fee should appeal to the American Physical Society at the time of registration to have this fee covered. Food and accommodation is provided by the conferences. Travel expenses to the conference should be paid by your home institution, but some funds may be provided for travel if needed.
Because we are only able to accommodate a limited number of participants at the conference, completion of the application form does not guarantee a seat at the conference. Preference is given to undergraduate physics students who have not previously had the opportunity to participate, and who are applying to the conference that is geographically closest to their location. We also encourage you to apply early.
After being accepted, you may indicate on the registration form if you would like to present your research in the form of a poster presentation and/or a 10 minute talk. Although you are not required to give a presentation in order to attend the conference, we do encourage you to use this as an opportunity to present your research.
The application and registration deadlines have passed. Please complete the registration survey that was emailed to you.
