Nicole Miyashiro is collecting her audio poems that respond to visual art online in ‘Words of Art.’ She is also writing short stories, including a few linked to “Spectators,” and is an editor for the PA Center for the Book at Penn State. She holds a BA in Business & Technical Writing from the University of Delaware and an MFA in Fiction from Rosemont College.
Her work has appeared in NAILED, Atlas & Alice, The Stoneslide Corrective, LUMINA, Clever Girl Magazine, HEArt Online, Persephone’s Daughters, The Doctor T. J. Eckleburg Review, Life in 10 Minutes, Black Poppy Review, Abbey, Philadelphia Poets, the anthology Another Breath, and A cappella Zoo, which nominated her story for a Pushcart Prize. Her twice-published “Leaving Things Behind You” is now available as an e-short on Amazon, and two of her poems can be dialed from a Telepoem Booth. She has new work forthcoming in The Doctor T. J. Eckleburg Review, Nasty Women Poets: An Unapologetic Anthology of Subversive Verse from Lost Horse Press, and Four Chambers 05.
