Benefits
There are many benefits to membership which include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Ability to network with many campus leaders from other student leaders to faculty and staff
- Available leadership roles on-campus as an NRHH officer, committee member, or executive member
- Attendance at regional and national conferences on behalf of NRHH, and serve as a regional or national officer
(Did you know the Nittany Chapter hosted the Fall 2013 CAACURH Regional Conference?) - Access to a variety of NRHH events across campus
- Attendance at the end-of-the-semester NRHH induction ceremony
- Certificate, membership pin, and an honor cord to wear with your cap and gown at commencement

Active Members
In order to maintain the benefits of an active members, active members must adhere to the following standards:
- Currently living in the residence halls and/or have lived in the residence halls for one semester prior to membership
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership and service within the residence halls.
- Have and maintain a 2.60 cumulative grade/point average on a four point scale.
- Be a student of good character and in good standing with Penn State University.
- Attend at least TWO events per semester
- Attend at least 50% of the GBMs per semester (can make up meetings in office hours)

Honorary Members
An honorary member is a faculty or staff member who works to improve the on-campus community. Honorary membership, per our constitution, is described in the following way: Those chosen by the active voting body in recognition of outstanding service and leadership in the residence hall system, above and beyond their official capacities or regular duties, shall hold honorary membership.
Prospective Members
In order to be considered for membership of the National Residence Hall Honorary, one must meet all of the following requirements:
- Currently living on campus
- Have lived on campus for one complete semester previous to applying
- Have an overall GPA of 2.60+
- Currently a registered student
- Have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service within the residence halls
