Join us in New Zealand in May 2023!

Managing sustainability in some form is part of everyone’s job. This program is designed to provide you with hands on experience with sustainability in its many forms so you will be better prepared for your future! And you won’t just go to a foreign country and sit in a classroom all day to learn…your classroom will be one of the many sites we visit. Throughout our journey, we will cover everything from carbon neutrality, new building ideas, innovation, environmental sustainability, conservation, and more!

This Maymester course is open to ALL majors and ALL levels of students – and has no prerequisites!

This faculty-led, 3-week adventure in New Zealand and Australia, leads to 3 credits for MGMT 397: Sustainability and Business, taught under the guidance of Ms. Kaitlin Farnan (Management instructor, Penn State Altoona) and Dr. Ann Taylor (Assistant Dean for Distance Learning, College of Earth and Mineral Sciences). The course counts for many major/minor requirements or as an elective – check with your advisor to see how it might fit in your program!
