Meeting Minutes – 3/29/16

Thanks to everyone who made it out to our meeting last night! Here is what we talked about:

TRIP REPORTS

Pool Session #3 – Last Wednesday, some PSOCers enjoyed our penultimate pool session in preparation for the red mo race that went on over the weekend. Read on if interested in attending our final session on April 13.

Red Moshannon Downriver Race – A large crew of PSOC paddlers shipped up to Snowshoe this past weekend to enjoy a 7.5 mile downriver race on Saturday and the weekend of festivities that surrounded it. As always, Kurt Smithgall took overall first place with an astonishing time of 45 minutes. Asides from the race, we enjoyed an abundance of canines, delicious slow-cooked meats, armwrestling contests, and campfire singalongs.

Rock Climbing at Boxcar – Jake Cramer led a crew of climbers to his neck of the woods in Lebanon County. While having fun with a variety of long top-roped routes at Boxcar rocks, they dealt with a surly WCO who imposed some severe changes on their camping plans. This did not stop them from having an awesome weekend, nor did it stop them from petting Jakes Iguana ;)

Boys Club at Hunter’s Rocks – A small crew went climbing at this well-known bouldering spot near Huntingdon, and made this riotously funny video trip report to document the manly good times they shared.
