In May 2017, Anthony Bak Buccitelli was named editor of Western Folklore, a leading journal of folkloristics in the United States. Published continuously since 1942, Western Folklore is the second oldest journal of folklore studies in the United States, after the Journal of American Folklore. The first full issue of his term as editor, 76.4, will be released in late 2017.
