John Minbiole is a Postdoctoral Lecturer in the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences. After an undergraduate B.A. in Film at Central Florida, John worked in film and television production in Orlando for seventeen years as a producer and director. He returned to the academy in 2008, earning an M.A. in Media Studies at Syracuse University and his Ph.D. at Penn State in the Spring of 2015. John has taught a number of classes at Penn State, including Rhetorics of War and Peace (CAS 373), Rhetoric and Civic Life (CAS 137/138) and Effective Speech (CAS100A). He enjoys dancing with his daughter and watching baseball, and has recently developed an interest in observing distinctive umpire mechanics.
