Our general body meetings are biweekly on Thursdays from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. in Pond Lab 302. General body meetings include distinguished speakers, organizational updates, conversations about current domestic and international events, and more. Our meeting dates for the rest of the semester are: October 27th, November 10th, and December 12th.

Initiation Banquet/Induction Ceremony

The annual Initiation Banquet is a way for us to welcome our new class of members into Pi Sigma Alpha, Beta Pi as well as celebrate all the work that has been completed over the year. This occurs annually during the spring semester.

Student Conference on U.S. Affairs (SCUSA)

The Student Conference on U.S. Affairs (SCUSA) is an annual four-day conference hosted at the United States Military Academy at West Point. The purpose of the conference is to allow students to work with scholars and practitioners of foreign affairs to develop proposals that address important topics and issues in American foreign policy. SCUSA also provides the foundation for lasting civil-military relationships among future leaders in the military, government, and private sectors. Every year, Pi Sigma Alpha, Beta Pi sends delegations to SCUSA to develop professional skills and network with students and practitioners.

Best Thesis Award

The Pi Sigma Alpha – Beta Pi chapter presents the Best Thesis award at the end of the academic year’s Political Science department banquet. The award is $100 and given to students who demonstrate outstanding achievements in political science academic research.
