Finalizing Your Slide Design

Overview: In this section, you will reflect on the feedback you received on your three slides. Then you will post a final version of your slides, plus a brief rationale for the design and accessibility features you decided on.

Objectives: Upon successfully completing this section, you should be able to:

•Design slides that fit well with the assertion-evidence model

•Design slides that are accessible to students with visual disabilities

•Explain the rationale behind your design choices

Instructions: 1) Look through the feedback you received on the three slides you submitted in Section 3. Consider how (or whether) you will make changes in response to the feedback.

2) When your slides are finalized, write a brief (1 page or less) rationale for the final design and accessibility choices you made. For instance, what are the strengths of your finalized slides? What changes did you make, and why? If there were suggested changes that you chose not to make, please discuss the pedagogical reasons behind the decision.

3) Email your finalized slides and your rationale document to Chas Brua (crb129@psu.edu) and Larkin Hood (lnh2@psu.edu).

Upon successfully completing all four sections, you will receive a completion certificate from the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence.
