2006 Graduate Research Fellowship Recipient

Awarded the Sylvia Stein Memorial Scholarship and PSGC Graduate Fellowship, Brian Schratz has been actively involved in Space Grant during both his undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Penn State University. Brian has interned at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and worked on a proposed Mars lander, learned how to design and build sounding rockets at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility, and was selected to be a member of the NASA Student Ambassadors Program as a graduate student in electrical engineering. Brian is now a Mars Science Lab Entry, Descent, and Landing Telecom Systems Engineer at JPL.
