The workshop is for anyone teaching classes with a public engagement component and will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 12-2 pm in the Stuckeman Building Jury Space. Topics will include:

• Presentation of the Student Engagement Network – Mike Zeman, Penn State Student Engagement Network.
• Public Engagement in teaching – Michele Halsell, The Sustainability Institute at Penn State.
• Public Engagement in professional practice – Walt Whitmer, Penn State Extension.
• Introduction to the showcases for this project – Tom Hogan, Mallika Bose, Frans Padt,
• Exchange of public engagement teaching strategies and resources – All
• Suggestions for the development of a learning community at Penn State – All
