There are many media resources available to us for courses and presentations, but what are the laws and rules governing their use? What constitutes “fair use”? How about the TEACH Act? Come to this session to discover what these laws do and don’t allow, and the University’s rules for using copyrighted works by faculty, staff and students.

Do you use discussion boards with your course but would like to make them more interesting? VoiceThread allows you to use media as the center of an online, audio-visual conversation. Use VoiceThread to give students the opportunity to discuss topics using any mix of text, audio and video. There is also a free smartphone app!
