Welcome to February! We have a number of information sessions featured this month, come and join us!
We are starting off the month with part one of our ongoing series on hybrid/online course design, focusing on planning your course. Our new Canvas learning management system will be another featured topic, this month we will demonstrate the Canvas Learning Center. The Canvas Learning Center is a gateway for all Penn State faculty and support staff to learn how to get the most out of using Canvas for teaching and learning. We will also be presenting on Sites at Penn State and Yammer. Sites At Penn State gives students, faculty, and staff the ability to build websites, blogs, and e-portfolios free and easily. Yammer is a collaborative environment, through which courses, teams and groups may create, share and edit content. Yammer is being considered as one of the platforms to replace ANGEL groups.
Thursday, 2/4: Hybrid/Online Instructional Design Part 1, Planning – In part 1 of this 4 part series, participants will discuss planning their hybrid or online course, including learner analysis, delivery considerations, assignment rubrics and course outcomes.
Wednesday, 2/10: The Canvas Learning Center – The Learning Center collects the best tutorials, live training sessions, videos, and other resources from Instructure and Penn State sources into one, self-directed curriculum.
Thursday, 2/18: Sites at Penn State – Our WordPress system gives students, faculty, and staff the ability to build websites, blogs, and portfolios free and easily.
