Hey folks. Several of you wrote to me earlier in the week about problems you were having with the dropbox for this week’s assignment on Canvas. I always appreciate that sort of feedback and I tried to resolve the issue immediately. However, based on emails I received earlier today (thank you diligent folks, as well), it turns out that the problem wasn’t fixed – there was a box I forgot to check somewhere deep in the assignment settings (because, technology). I simply didn’t see it and I apologize for the mistake. If you emailed me your assignment, please resubmit it via Canvas sometime today or tomorrow.
Also, I recognize that some folks had a tough time tracking down lyrics for the Downtown Boys record I posted for the listening assignment. I assumed the lyrics were readily accessible online (because, internet) but I should have scanned them and posted them on the website. My apologies for the additional hassle. I will certainly take this into consideration when grading your papers, and I won’t be expecting anyone to produce a detailed analysis of the band’s lyrics.
