1. My Kitchen Rules: This is a cooking game show in which teams compete to be top chef, and have cook offs judged by famous chef’s until one cook is remaining.
2.The Voice: This is the same as the American version, in which contestants get selected by vocal celebrities who coach them through the show until one contestant remains and wins a cash prize.
3.The Block: Married couples within a neighborhood compete to renovate houses and sell them for the highest profit at a local auction.
4. Big Brother: This is the same as the American version, where people live in a house, monitored by video cameras 24/7. They must eliminate members of the house one at a time until only one is left.
5. Master Chef: This is the same as the American version, where amateur and home chefs compete in a cooking competition to be the last chef standing and win a cash prize, a deal to write and publish their own cookbook as well as a trophy.
6. The X Factor: This is the same as the American version, where vocal artists compete in front of a panel of judges in the hopes of being the last singer standing. The last singer will win a contract deal with a respected label.
7. The Bachelor Australia: Yet again, this is the same as the American version. Girls fight for the love of one man by going on a series of dates and competing in various competitions to win a rose at the end of a date. Typically, the last female standing will be proposed to.
8. Please Marry My Boy: Four mothers are given the opportunity to find their sons a future wife. Together, the mother and son duo sit down with ten different females. The mother selects three females who will then move in with the mother and son for a duration of time, and eventually the mother and son will decide on the right girl for the boy to date.
9. Australia’s Next Top Model: This is just like the American version, where 15 girls compete to for a model contract with a popular fashion magazine in their country. The girls compete in various photoshoot competitions that are then judged be renowned fashionistas and models.
10. Australian Idol: You guessed it, this show follows the same set up as American Idol, with contestants competing in vocal competitions trying to win over the hearts of the people in their country to win a record deal.
