First RFDL Graduate Student Defense Thesis – Anand Makwana

Anand Makwana successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on Thursday, March 22, 2018, making him the first Ph.D. student to defend his thesis from the Reacting Flow Dynamics Laboratory. Co-advised by Dr. Tom Litzinger, Anand focused on issues of PAH and soot development in laminar flames with real transportation fuels. His thesis is entitled, “Effects of fuel molecular structure on emissions in a jet flame and a model gas turbine combustor.”
