Penn State will host the Educating for Sustainability Conference on October 5-6 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on the University Park campus. The conference will offer a wide array of panels on topics such as teaching and researching sustainability, developing sustainable practices on university campuses, and initiating leadership in sustainability. The conference will be held at Lubrano Park in part because it is the first baseball park in the world to be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified, a distinction that recognizes the structure for meeting high standards of sustainability. To attend the conference, advance registration is required and can be completed online.
