USA Rugby released its Men’s All American selections and two Penn State players earned themselves honors. Dom Defalco ’14 was named a 1st Team All American back and Dan Metcalf ’15 was named an Honorable Mention forward for the second consecutive year. When asked about their time training in Dartmouth with the rest of the team Defalco said, “ It was an amazing opportunity to play with the best players from all over the country, and very exciting to represent the United States of America.” He further went on to say, “I would really push for players from Penn State to make it an individual goal of theirs to try and put them in good position to make future selections. Whether that means extra skill work or more time hitting the weights, the opportunity to play for your country is once in a lifetime.” Veteran Dan Metcalf will return for his fifth and final year and hopes to bring back the knowledge he gained from camp in order to make a push for a national championship. The All Americans finished their summer tour with two victories against Cambridge University and a tough loss to the Ontario Blues.
