Penn State Men’s Rugby to hold Recruit Weekend.

Penn State Men’s Rugby is happy to announce that it will hold its fall recruiting weekend October 3-5, 2014. The event will center around the Rugby East/ D1A match against St. Bonaventure. “This is a great chance for prospective students to visit Penn State, meet the coaches and interact with the team,” stated Acting Director, Chris Amoratis. “We will chat about the admissions process here at Penn State and tour our facilities.” The weekend will officially begin on Friday night with an introduction to the team at is Captain’s Run. Students will get to observe the team as they go through their preparations for Saturday’s game. On Saturday morning prospective students will meet to discuss the admissions process, talk about the rugby program and answer any questions students might have. The talk will be followed by a quick tour of the rugby facilities and campus. The match against St. Bonaventure is scheduled for 1pm, with the second-side match to follow. Recruits will be able to socialize at the post match dinner, provided by our parents. Attendance is flexible, with our office able to customize your visit. If possible we would encourage you to come Thursday night or early Friday, so we can pair you with a current player and you can sit-in on a few classes. We have the ability to bunk you, for your time here, with a player in their dorm/apartment, so you get an idea of what living on campus is like. We will also be able to get you to eat in our dining halls.

If you are interested in attending, please, contact Chris Amoratis at cxa126@psu.edu. We look forward to your visit.
