Pennsylvania State University’s Interdisciplinary Environmental Research Symposium (PIERS)

Our biggest event of the year takes place each Spring.  This year will be the 26th annual!

PIERS, formerly known as ECMSS, is an annual student-run symposium held at Penn State’s University Park campus, which brings together graduate students, undergraduate students, and faculty members engaged in environmentally relevant research.  This two-day event typically draws 60-70 graduate and undergraduate researchers from Penn State and regional universities.  Student poster presentations and oral presentations are judged by Penn State faculty and post-docs and top presentations are awarded prizes!

PIERS is a great opportunity to share, to learn, and to network with like-minded researchers in other disciplines.  Check out the event page here!
