Northwest Reading
The Neighborhood of Possibilities!
The newly forming planning group, “Friends of the Schuylkill River Trail Community Park in Northwest Reading,” welcomes neighborhood residents to share their ideas, develop visions for, design, and partner with this group to develop and help maintain a community park for children and adults along the half mile section of the Schuylkill River Trail closest to Baer Park. This special natural resource is currently underutilized. The City of Reading has begun clearing parts of the trail so Northwest Reading can have a beautiful park along the river for children and adults to explore, fish, walk, bike, play and enjoy the outdoors. Come share your thoughts on how to make this the best park for your community.

Fri., Apr 28, 4-6:30pm: Family Nature Festival on the Trail starting across from Baer Park near 825 River Rd, Reading, PA 19601
Wed, May 3, 5:30pm: Community Meeting at Baer Park Field house
Also Note: Check out the trail from the Baer Park River Rd trail head. You’ll be awed by the newly open spaces! The city has been hard at work improving this area of the trail and recently (mid April) made a lot of great changes!
