Faculty from Penn State York joined me and facilitators from the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence, Drs. Chas Brua and Mary Ann Tobin, for a multi-session action research sequence of workshops in Spring 2017. Faculty identified pedagogical issues in their classes they wanted to address, conducted lit searches in academic journals dedicated to teaching in their disciplines, worked on applying research-based interventions in their classes (during spring and fall 2017), collected data and results, and created reflections on lessons learned and future improvements.
