About Us

We don’t take cash but we do take seeds. Our mission is to bring the bounty from our tables and share its seed wealth with our community, so they can feed themselves. If you have seeds that you would like to donate, please let us know.

We also do want to run this like a library, so that the seeds you take are yours to use, but we humbly ask that you bring some of the seed bounty back for others to enjoy. If you need help learning how to process seeds, we are also able to help you there.

As you search through our posts and pages, we hope that you learn more about the plants that you grow and what makes them special. We keep a current list of seeds available on the Seed List page. The Pennsylvania State University campuses are located on the original homelands of the Erie, Haudenosaunee (Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and Tuscarora), Lenape (Delaware Nation, Delaware Tribe, Stockbridge-Munsee), Monongahela, Shawnee (Absentee, Eastern, and Oklahoma), Susquehannock, and Wahzhazhe (Osage) Nations.  As a land grant institution, we acknowledge and honor the traditional caretakers of these lands and strive to understand and model their responsible stewardship. We also acknowledge the longer history of these lands and our place in that history.
