Good news about calendars

Michael Kubit, Penn State’s Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, recently announced that Ginger Breon will lead an initiative to transition all Penn State students, faculty, and staff to a single email and calendaring system. This new university-wide system is based on Microsoft Office 365, which is one of the existing calendar integrations for Starfish.

Once implemented, this means that all Starfish faculty and staff users will have the option to have Starfish read free/busy times from their Microsoft 365 calendars.

All Starfish users can currently receive .ical attachments for all Starfish appointments to any external calendar. The move to Microsoft 365 will allow all users to display external calendar items in their Starfish calendars.
