During February’s Healthy Relationships Week on campus, the Sustainovation Club hosted a common hour event to invite the campus to learn more about our global whale population and threats to the status of whales. In celebration of World Whale Day, flyers and bookmarks were available in the Tomezsko Building Lounge and at the book display in Vairo Library. For fun, visitors were encouraged to create an origami whale, thanks to the instructions from the American Museum of Natural History.
The World Whale Day event in Spring 2018 supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #14 – Life Below Water.
