Banking on theconcept of education

Banking on the concept of education (www2.webster.edu/~corbetre/philosophy/education/freire/freire-2.html)

The banking concept of education was propose by Paulo Freire, which he state that students are information receiving dummies, for they do not questions but they accept everything their teached says blindly. Kids nowadays do not think for themselves, which is something Dr. Freire said that students should learn in schools. However, students sit in classes with over two-hundred students and absorb everything their told blindly. Also a students who is in a large clads will most likely not learn anything, for the most effective way to teach in small groups. Student who work in small groups will most likely have interaction with their teachers, and learn a lot more compare to being in a large classroom with no teacher interaction.

Students that learn in a large classroom with a lot of students with no teacher interaction are being robbed of a learning experience. Students who learn in this environment cannot successful learn in the classroom, for these students must go above and beyond to learn the material one their own. This is not teach because if the student has to learn on his own, the they will most like kiss key information that they need to know. Therefore the students never really got a solid education because they pass without fully understanding the material.
