Welcome to my official Penn State blog. My name is John Price and I am an instructor and doctoral student in American Studies. Here I will be opining on all things related to American culture: its traditions, symbols, myths, architecture, art, sports, and maybe even cuisine! Enjoy browsing my essays, blog, and galleries.
My academic interests lie in exploring American popular culture for folk influences and, in particular, the relationship between traditions and identity in the world of sports. I also have a somewhat unhealthy infatuation with Flemish bond brickwork.
