Today was commissioning day. Commissioning is an important process to see if the panel will work effectively and panels need to be recommissioned. Commissioning and regular maintenance can extend the life of a solar panel. We had to check the polarization of the inverter also it is important to check if all of the bolts are secure on the panel. Sometimes for larger panels commissioners take random samples of the bolts. It was really great to see Judith, the director of the daycare, turn on the system. The daycare made a delicious cake and cards for us. We gave out t shirts and stuffed animals, which were donated to us, to the children. We also did finger painting with the children and took pictures in front of our poster. Off to go zip lining!
