World Campus Faculty Development
Faculty Development for Outreach and Online Education supports online faculty at key stages of their careers in order to positively impact student success. Its mission is to help our faculty succeed in their online teaching practice.
The Certificate for Online Teaching
The Certificate for Online Teaching is a professional development program to prepare for online teaching success. This five part, fully online course, taught via ANGEL, series provides faculty an “online student experience” while exploring a rich variety of critical topics necessary for mastery in the online classroom. Anyone interested in learning more about excellence in online teaching and learning are welcome to participate in the certificate. The Certificate for Online Teaching is comprised of both self-directed and instructor led online courses.

ITS Training Services offers a variety of training resources to support the use of teaching technologies.
Best Practices Discussions
- Faculty Roundtables – Engage in dialogue with other faculty members from across your college and the University in how they use specific teaching technologies in the classroom and their best practices for doing so, including technologies that can be used for online instruction.
Using ANGEL for Online Learning
- ANGEL Workshops – learn how to use ANGEL’s many comprehensive tools that can be employed in online learning, such as the Teams and Peer Reviews feature.
- ANGEL Resources – Find easy-to-use materials to help you accomplish tasks in ANGEL, from setting up your gradebook to using the Course Mail tool.
