Hello!

I came to teach at Penn State as a trailing spouse. I’ve followed my husband’s career all over the world: New York City, North Carolina, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Morocco.

With undergrad degrees in Journalism and History and a Law degree, I was lucky enough to find a job wherever we lived. However, all my jobs had one common denominator: writing.

I’ve practiced law, written for newspapers, magazines, and radio, in addition to teaching. Here at Penn State I have been able to promote writing, teaching courses such as Rhetoric and Composition, Technical Writing, and Writing in the Social Sciences.

To take a break from academic life, I also teach fitness courses, including strength training and yoga.

I live in State College, PA, with my husband, two sons (ages 7 and 10), and a dog named Indiana Bones.
