12 SPS members traveled to Six Flags America in Maryland on April 21st. After many long hours waiting in the parking lot of the hotel, the crew got a good night sleep and headed to the park the next morning. Excited high school physics students from surrounding schools poured into the park, while SPSlings gave them accelerometers to take on the rollercoasters. As much as the SPSers enjoyed passing on their love of physics to younger generations, they were very excited to have full reign of the park after the kids left. They rode all the rollercoasters and won cool hats, unfortunately they were dropping like flies, with one lost to allergies, another to a migraine, and another downed with a sprained ankle. Overall it was a fantastic day and many youngsters were inspired.
