One of the preeminent honors colleges in the country, the Schreyer Honors College offers exceptional experiences for its students, focusing on achieving academic excellence, building a global perspective, and creating opportunities for leadership and civic engagement. Schreyer students take smaller classes, complete an honors thesis, have priority course scheduling, and are eligible for scholarship, research, and travel funding.
The Schreyer Honors College application is available through MyPennState to any student who submits an application to Penn State. In addition to the $30 fee for this application, you are required to answer three essay questions and submit letters of recommendation from two teachers and your high school guidance counselor.
Although the priority application date has passed, you may still submit the required pieces of your Schreyer Honors College application through January 15 for consideration. Any students who submitted their applications by the November 30 priority deadline will learn of their decision by mid-March, while applicants applying after that date will receive their decision on a rolling basis, but no later than March 31.
