I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Penn State University. I study comparative authoritarianism and political economy. My substantive research interests include information control in authoritarian regimes, the political economy of development, and environmental politics. Methodologically, I focus on causal inference. I explore innovative identification strategies and measures to tackle important issues in authoritarian countries (esp., China).
