Anderson Lecture Series Lecture: Road Work
Craig McPherson, artist
Craig McPherson, an artist represented in At the Heart of Progress, has spent much of his career painting and drawing on, at the side of, above, and even under the road. McPherson’s lecture will take you from the sidewalks of Harlem to the Golden Horn of Istanbul, from the steel mills of Pittsburgh to the Venice harbor, and from the Hong Kong Peak to the new water tunnel far below the city of New York. He will talk about his work as a draftsman, mezzotint engraver, painter, and muralist over the last forty years.
