Good news on the job front for Penn State students (especially those in business, engineering, and IST)!
The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday (9/13/10) that “Employers Prefer State Schools for Hires,” and Penn State tops the list.
Our local paper, The Centre Daily Times, follows up on the WSJ article with a front page article in today’s paper: “PSU Named Top School by Job Recruiters.“
An excerpt:
The 479 recruiters for public and private companies, nonprofits and federal agencies who responded to the survey were asked to select the schools “whose bachelor degree graduates were the best-trained and educated, and best able to succeed once hired.”
Penn State came in first, followed by Texas A&M University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
