Nowadays in the United States, you would be hard-pressed to find someone who still smokes cigarettes. Cigarettes, after being bombarded by anti-smoking movements and government regulation have become so rare that something new has emerged to deliver nicotine to those who crave it. Vaping, using electronic cigarettes has skyrocketed in the United States as an alternative to smoking and using tobacco products. Just like yesterday, people of today have attempted to stop a generation from becoming smokers. New advertisements and movements have been circulating that despite their many differences, they share a very stark resemblance in their kairos, commonplaces such as beauty, and fear-mongering to attempt to alter the behavior of millions of substance abusers.

I like the way you introduce your topic and how it ties in with anti-cigarette ads. I think it would be beneficial for you to compare and contrast the way the ads differ but also the similarities they hold as well. Listing similarities of cigarette and vaping ads will create a stronger message that vaping is becoming a serious problem, just like cigarettes were. Possibly use elements such as target audience, purpose, and the message being portrayed by each ad. I think the thesis is very strong for your topic as well.

The way that you connected vaping and smoking advertisements and movements was very well formed and made logical sense. Being able to introduce two pieces and immediately tie them together made it very easy and enjoyable to read.
