THE MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL

In China, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Chinese New Year, the Tomb Sweeping Day, and the Mid-Autumn Festival are known as the four biggest traditional Chinese cultural festivals. Personally, I think the Mid-Autumn Festival is the most special one. Oct 4th is the Mid-Autumn Festival (August 15th of Chinese lunar calendar); the moon’s circle is a metaphor of people’s reunion. On that day, the family will try their best to go home to have a family reunion dinner with their parents and children. YUHANG

Yuhang is a junior student at Penn State University. She is very interested in film, radio, and TV media careers. To be a better media person, Yuhang is majoring in Film & Video and minoring in Technical Writing. During her time at Penn State, she has developed excellent radio skills and problem-solving abilities through a number of academic projects that required media knowledge and creativity.

Yuhang is a Chinese girl. She was the head of Dream Pie studio, which published international newspaper VDream and discussed the differences in universities between Chinese and USA. At the same time, Yuhang wrote some articles in the lifestyle section for Chinese culture on The Behrend Beacon Newspaper. She also hosted “China? China!” show on BVZ Radio to share information about China.

XXCHINA posts articles of daily life in China about the Chinese education system, diet, culture, science, business, development, and so on to integrate different cultures. Yuhang also will discuss the differences between China and America on XXCHINA to provide a channel for viewers to know the real China.
