1977: Multi-Purpose Building

Multi-Purpose BuildingWith student enrollments reaching 2,500 by fall 1975 and student recreational needs growing as well, on October 19, 1977, after two years of construction and at a cost of $2 million, the Capitol Campus dedicated a new facility—the Multi-Purpose Building. Subsequently renamed the Capitol Union Building (CUB), it still provides athletic facilities, classrooms, conference rooms, office space, and areas for recreational and cultural programming.
