Dr. Richard H. Heindel was appointed the first Dean of Faculty from 1967 to 1973.  Heindel also served the college as a professor of international relations from 1967 to 1977.  Before retiring in 1977, Heindel donated some of his papers and books to the Capitol Campus library, which was located in the Olmsted Building.   Consequently, the library would then be named the Heindel Library.
