Kyrie Harding
Kyrie Harding began her Penn State career in the Bellisario College of Communications advising office in 2008 and joined the College of Arts and Architecture as director of advising in 2018. Seeing people achieve and push themselves beyond the limits of their own expectations stimulates her passion for helping individuals to navigate through challenges and obstacles. Whether it was her time as a coach, therapeutic staff support, a drug and alcohol therapist, or an academic advisor, she has always been drawn to roles that are devoted to helping people succeed. Through a marriage of mentorship and empathy, Kyrie tries to foster a connection with the individuals she is working with by cultivating opportunities and teaching them the value of goal setting while recognizing the importance of measuring personal successes. In 2019, Kyrie helped develop the college’s first-ever early welcome experience for incoming students. Bringing together incoming students with student leaders from every discipline solidified how important it is to give people the chance to form their own path to success, while also forming a true community and sense of belonging.
