Margaret Higgins
Margaret Higgins joined Penn State’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions in 2013. Four years later she transitioned from her role as a senior admissions counselor to academic advisor in the Department of Biobehavioral Health, then joined the College of Arts and Architecture in 2018. Fall 2023 marks her sixth academic year advising undergraduate students in the School of Music and School of Theatre. She was the recipient of the College of Arts and Architecture Award for Advising and Mentoring in 2021 and was nominated for the University-wide Excellence in Advising Award in 2022 and 2023. Her job offers a unique opportunity to witness the personal and professional transformation of each individual student from New Student Orientation to commencement, and she loves attending as many musical and theatrical performances as possible each semester.
