Background: I worked as a school-based SLP serving children Pre-K to 5th grade in the public schools as well as in a Catholic school. During graduate school I took part on a personnel preparation grant where I was able to support students with complex communication needs in general education and take AAC courses. This experience helped me see that inclusive education is possible with the proper supports and services.

Current Interests: My focus while working on this degree include understanding how learning occurs and how language development can best be supported in real world environments. I find language acquisition/development of children with significant disabilities to interest me the most. Additionally, supporting these students in inclusive education environments as well as their communication partners is of importance to me.
