Golf Course Placemaking with a Geodesign Approach

Golf course closures are a national problem. Solutions can be found through place-making, a collaborative process of re-designing, planning, and managing beloved spaces. This reinvention strategy of place-making can efficiently convert underutilized and closed golf courses into useful and sustainable public facilities. The results of this capstone project affirm that Geodesign is an effective method of implementing the placemaking process to reimagine golf courses with multiple benefits.
