Geodesign Applications in Tullahoma, Tennessee
The aim of my research capstone is to augment the conversation about using modern age computational GIS techniques I have explored and integrating a systems thinking approach to practical problems that are faced by the people of the place and the decision making persons of the area of interest in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The objective of my research is to inquire into how mixed use land zoning can be increased so as to preserve both the existing character of the AoI and also enhance the economic development plans of the city to fund projects and maintain infrastructure through 2040. The research explains the advantages of cooperative and collaborative partnerships where past projects and stakeholders have experienced an impasse to implement meaningful change in the town of Tullahoma and Coffee County, TN.
