Exigency: This elephant is disappearing right before your eyes. It represents the population of all elephants in the world and we need to act in order to make sure these elephants are sustained. I feel this advertisement does a very good job. The elephant even looks pained and panicked as it struggles to stay afoot.

Kairos: As we can see, the time to act is now. Unfortunately elephant populations have been rapidly declining and this photo illustrates so. If we dont act very soon, the population could very rapidly cease.

Stasis: I think the add is very effective. And by providing one of the most recognizable adds in the world (the WWF panda), it helps the audience to know what organization they can contact in order to help. This add is accessible, and, in my opinion, allows everyone to understand the exigency of its nature.

What a powerful picture first and formost. The pain that can be seen on the elephant’s face is just unbelievable. For kairos, just statistics would help out a lot, but the idea is spot-on. I think the point you make about the organization recognition is really good because it allows the elephant to take up all the space and the brand only needs that tiny area and everybody already knows what it is.

I agree this add is pretty effective because you can see the elephant disappearing right before your eyes, which makes you want to do something to help. I didn’t even realize that elephants could convey emotion through facial expression, but looking at it closely now, I agree that he looks pained and it panicked to get away. Keen and thorough analysis, great job.
