While I won’t necessary give details on the actual content to prevent anyone trying to steal this concept I have in mind, I am going to give a general summary of what the content originated from.

The concept in mind is to take a concept of the anime series called The Asterisk War, and reinvent it’s concept to take on the likes of The Irregular at Magic High School and A Certain Magical Index.

The poster below, this is exactly what I’m trying to target, and attempt to pull off the definition of “Good artists borrow while great artists steal” which was a phase that originated from Pablo Piacasso himself.

The city of Geo takes direct inspiration from Asterisk War’s main setting known as Rikka, also known as Asterisk. It is basically a colorful and futuristic man made island built on the sea. Basically that whole city is my references when designing Geo. I’ve always had a thing for vibrant and colorful settings, especially if they are sci-fi, but Asterisk’s design of a scientific city probably takes the cake in regards to stimulating my eyes.  The color scheme associated and event the character designs. I don’t think anything has done something simulating like that in anything I’ve seen after watching this. It basically would make me want to go there.  However, while I would love to revisit this series, unfortunately it wasn’t’ exactly the most profitable despite a heavy promoted status it had and every bit of ambition at it’s hand. It suffered from a scenario of what I would imply as  if you get too attached to trends, it will end up being your biggest downfall. This is basically what it suffers from, as in hostile criticisms that deem it the same or most unoriginal thing.    For these reasons, this is why I want to create an original series based off of reinventing Asterisk War out of it’s shell and optimize its ambition.
